Hey, I forgot this was here!

Maybe I'll start writing stuff again.

But then again - maybe I won't :)

Well *I* thought it was funny....

Three things that God doesn't know:
  • What the Dominicans think;
  • How much money the Franciscans have really got; and
  • What the Jesuits will do next.
Ka-ching!

I don't care how lame, I've been giggling for days over that.

Or what about:

A Franciscan, a Dominican and a Jesuit were in a room when the lights went out. The Franciscan said "Let's say a prayer to welcome Brother Darkness". The Dominican waxed lyrical about the essence of darkness and what it can teach us about the light.

The Jesuit changed the light bulb.

:)

This post brought to you by the baby Jesuits in my life. Don't stop changing light bulbs!

I'm still here

Hi! So, I'm still around, but busy life life busy. And this is only a brief update, cause I'm going to the UK in less than two weeks kthxbai.

In the meantime, here are some random places I hang out.

The roof of St Mary's Cathedral:

That one was taken from Centrepoint tower.

And that one from the belfry itself.

University of Sydney:

I do more work under that Jacaranda Tree than anywhere else on campus. Strange but true.

Whitegate, my cousins' farm near Bathurst. Can't see much it it itself here, but it's a cute photo, don't you think? Here's me and my cousin Niamh.

And some other places to come. This post brought to you by Belle.

Wow

I know it's been ages. I'll post properly again soon.

In the meantime, I bought a new computer. A Macbook Air. It fits in an A4 envelope, and it senses the ambient light in the room and adjusts the keyboard back light and screen brightness accordingly.

*brain explosion* Why have I been fucking around will Dell for all these years???

EDIT: btw, the plant from two posts ago is now dead. Sorry, Girl. I might have over-watered it. Or I might not have watered it at all. Who can tell with plants?

My two week challenge

I said that I was going to learn one Invention every fortnight, so here's the result of my first fortnight's work.

I'm sure there must be a better way to host/present these, but for now, this is it.

My recording equipment really isn't very good (try rubbish) so you'll have to just cope with that. Without further ado, Invention No 1 by JS Bach, played my Moi.

Invention 1

Edit: This one's better!

Home is a gin martini

I'm almost starting to feel at home in my new place. I finally have a dining table, and bookshelves (who could feel at home without their books??), so I'm almost at the point where I can get drunk and fail to solve third order 2D PDEs. Now that's what home's all about.

As for life, well... Work: meh; Uni: None!; Life: what?

The long promised places-I-hang-out photo-post soon to come.

By the way

Just to remind anyone who's potentially interested, I have two other blogs that are less what-I-had-for-lunch:

Mathematical Ramblings my random maths mutterings; and

I'm a Linguistics Undergraduate, which is a collaboration between myself and some other linguistics undergrads.
