Escheresque Explained

It seems silly to write a long and detailed introduction, since I expect the only ones who will ever read this are my good friends Dr K and Ms L. No doubt they will have both noted my obsession with M.C. Escher's work, in which staircases and waterfalls follow an unusual path, somehow ending up back where they started. I think that's something of a metaphor for my approach to life, and so an appropriate name for my blog.
